How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?
Matt Sweetwood: Since we are an insurance product, the pandemic has not significantly affected us. People still look to protect their most valuable equipment.
Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?
Matt Sweetwood: Yes, but the key is to react quickly. Most business mistakes are made from hesitating or inaction. We got out in front of the situation and stayed there.
How do you deal with stress and anxiety? How do you project yourself and Insurious in the future?
Matt Sweetwood: Stress and anxiety are dealt with in 2 meaningful ways:
1. Personally, I keep myself in great physical condition. Physical conditioning and body strength are the foundation for mental and emotional health.
2. Be a leader for your staff. Communicate frequently, and help people understand that worry never helps, and we should only focus on actions that we control and not stress over things we can’t control.
Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?
Matt Sweetwood: We have created a product that is the first of it’s kind. There are some homeowner policies and a few loss/damage warranties that have a little overlap with what we offer.
Your final thoughts?
Matt Sweetwood: At Insurious, we are excited to see the US economy come out of the pandemic and grow at a historical rate and see that that is an indicator of future success for us.

Your equipment deserves proper cover – who provides the best camera insurance in 2021?
We all want the best camera – so surely we need the best camera insurance to go along with it. After all, we sink serious cash into our kit – so if the worst happens and it gets lost, damaged or stolen, you want the proper protection in place.
With the best DSLRs and mirrorless cameras commanding well over a grand – and even the best compact cameras getting up there in price – it’s more important than ever to make sure you have the right insurance cover for your camera. And that’s before you even get to the rest of your kit bag!
Think of all the camera accessories in your setup, from flashguns and tripods to microphones and ND filters… not to mention the glass! Telephoto lenses, prime lenses, quirky Lensbaby lenses – you can easily end up with a collection of optics that are worth more than your actual camera.
And if you photograph at weddings, shoot live music, or cover any other events where you’ll be mixing with large groups of people, you may well find that your general household insurance might not cover these situations.
What camera insurance should I buy?
The question is, whatever the particular insurance premium may cost, is the alternative – no insurance – something that you can really afford?

Insurious is the best camera insurance option for USA photographers in 2021. here is why:
Comprehensive insurance protection for photographers without voluntary parting exclusion.
Insurious offers insurance protection for both photographers and video makers, helping protect your business and enable it to quickly recover from any catastrophes. With its policies underwritten by Athos Insurance, Insurious offers USA national photographic equipment coverage but also the option to extend it with Worldwide inclusion at a small extra cost ( limitation applies ), making it the perfect solution for the traveling photographer.
Making sure applications are quick and easy, there are two main insurance policies option offered to photographers and videographers, namely Long Term and Short Term. Long-term policies are designed to provide coverage on an annual basis while short terms are prepared for events and defined periods of time.
Most insurance companies offer policies with a voluntary parting exclusion clause. The “voluntary parting” exclusion clause provides that “The insurance carrier will not pay for loss caused by loss resulting from your, or anyone acting on your express or implied authority, being induced by any dishonest act to voluntarily part with title to or possession of any property.” Voluntary parting exclusions do not apply to Insurious offered policies making them the best equipment insurance of 2021.
To have a practical example: You lend the camera to someone that never returns it or returns it damaged. In this case Insurious offered policies will cover your equipment loss there where most carriers wont.
With Insurious you can create your own policy by using the website quote tool customizing options and extend coverage to best fits your need, you can also call or chat with the insurious team directly to discuss your options.
Although homeowners and renters insurance both cover musical instruments as a part of a policyholder’s personal property protection, coverage can be limited. While you can increase the coverage somewhat, musicians, collectors, and even some hobbyists should consider whether they need to purchase protection outside of their homeowners and renters policies.
You should consider purchasing additional coverage for your musical instrument and equipment if the value of what you own is greater than what’s covered by your homeowners or renters insurance — otherwise, your existing coverage could be enough.
Not everyone who owns an instrument needs musical instrument insurance. Most people who have either homeowners or renters insurance policies already have personal property coverage, which will cover their instruments.
However, those insurance policies may only cover up to $2,000 in damages to instruments. Depending on the musician or collector, $2,000 in coverage might not be nearly enough to repair or replace their instruments. Anyone with a single instrument or collection of instruments worth more than $2,000 should consider extending their coverage with an Insurious offered policy.
If the homeowners and renters insurance carrier does not offer an endorsement, or the value of their music-related belongings surpasses an endorsement expansion, they might need a separate policy. This is why Isnurious offer independent musical instrument and equipment insurance policies.
“If you owned an electric guitar, amplifier and state-of-the-art pedalboard, you might need to purchase additional musical instrument insurance, as the total value of your setup would likely exceed your policy’s fractional coverage.”
Musical instrument insurance coverage
Musical instrument insurance can be customized like most other insurance policies. Policyholders can typically choose the amount of coverage they need, their deductible and the policies are relatively comprehensive. Insurance for a musical instrument can cover the instrument itself, accessories and other related equipment — even sheet music.
Insurious offers insurance protection for both musician and sound engineers, helping protect their business and enable it to quickly recover from any catastrophes. With its policies underwritten by Athos Insurance, Insurious offers USA national music equipment coverage but also the option to extend it with Worldwide inclusion at a small extra cost ( limitation applies ), making it the perfect solution for the traveling musician or engineer.

Are you interested in becoming an affiliate marketer? Have you been considering working with affiliates? Or are you simply curious about how affiliate marketing works?
If you answered yes to any of those questions, and you have limited knowledge about how affiliate marketing works, then you’re in the right place. The concept isn’t hard to grasp. By the end of this blog post, you should have a solid understanding. So let’s get going!
What Is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing is a form of internet marketing. Companies (sometimes referred to as advertisers or merchants) pay people (affiliates) based on their performance promoting an offer via an affiliate link.
In a nutshell, if you’re an affiliate (also referred to as a publisher), you use your skills as a marketer to refer your audience to a product or service. When someone in your audience decides to buy a product or service and take an action based on your recommendation, you get a commission or kickback.
Who Are Affiliates?
An affiliate can be an individual or a company. Most of the time, affiliates are bloggers or other content makers. They’re usually in industries that are the same or closely related to that of the company whose products they’re promoting.
Affiliates are people who help promote a product or service by writing posts, making videos, and conducting other marketing efforts. When an affiliate’s visitor makes a purchase or submits a lead form on the affiliate company’s website, the affiliate gets paid.
Affiliates can also promote affiliate companies by publishing things like banner ads and text links. Whenever a lead is generated, the publisher is paid a commission.
After signing up with an affiliate program, you’ll get an affiliate link or a special URL that contains your affiliate username or ID. You use this link whenever you mention the advertiser’s product on your website or in other marketing efforts, such as on social media.
Whenever one of your audience members clicks on your affiliate link, a cookie is dropped into their browser to track them. If they become a customer, the company knows it received that customer from you and you get credit.
Does It Cost To Join An Affiliate Program?
There is no charge to join an affiliate program. However, some promotion strategies will cost if you choose to use them. For example, while your blog won’t cost you anything but your time, pay-per-click marketing, email campaigns, and social media ads will require an investment.
Do You Need Qualifications To Be An Affiliate Marketer?
Anyone can become an affiliate marketer, and there are no standard qualifications.
However, knowing how to write a blog post, string a great review together, or do video are all a big plus because they mean you don’t have to pay for content in the beginning. Also, any existing marketing knowledge you have will be a great advantage to you.
